19th May - we have a German Touring team over for a match in the morning. Trying to get the Hazbeanz (nee Legends) playing, but could have / will need a few run on guests. The evening is the Annual Ball – one of the highlights of the year – get your ticket on line.
23 May (running for 8 weeks, every Weds evening) is our inaugural mixed touch league. Hopefully few Hampstead teams entering, but ideally this is an extension of the bring a friend recruitment drive & you can get mates, work colleagues etc down. 26 May & 27 May - Activity Day on the Heath, run jointly by Camden & City of London. Its the last day of junior training & the Heath wish us to run a rugby camp, put on a few demo 7s games etc, as well as entering a footie 6 a side team & a couple of mixed tennis doubles. We are striving to get some breaks off these guys in terms of training & storage etc (plus Camden gave us a grant to get people thru coach & ref course), so need to show willing. However, its also coupled with the London 7s & 10s weekend, & the ladies Tour so we really do need to get numbers involved all round to make this weekend work.
Just want to thank you all for effort this season. Our training numbers over all factions of the club have been great. Running numerous sides have been the envy of other clubs. All officials & captains have really put in a stint this year & it has paid off. Overall we picked up 10 trophies. Big pat on the back all round!
