Thanks to everyone!

Thank you to all involved for such a great year and for a brilliant end-of-season training session / open day. The junior section continues to grow & grow, & thanks to all of the volunteers for all the efforts that make this happen. Special thanks to John McGuinness & Alan Sewell who have worked tirelessly to ensure our data, subs, Pitchero & GMS must-dos have been kept on top of. Sadly, it’s time to say goodbye to Jeff de Souza who has team managed the u15s & sorted many a tour for the boys; good bye to Julie Flaquet who has pursued people to pull on an apron and made the café tick; and finally, to John Ruskin. John was the first newbie to the club that we got coaching and then turned his energies to Fixture Secretary. All will be sorely missed.

I also must say a personal thank you to Martin Reeves who has kept the u17s/18s training all season even though games were not forthcoming. And a big thank you mate for agreeing to help out with next season’s u14s.

I have also a debt of honour to Paul Michel who has been Team Manager for our eldest kfds for ever 7 a day & to Penny Sekkides who has helped keep our girls in the know for most of the season

As ever the club doesn’t stop – this Saturday, 18 May, we are running a ‘coaching the coaches’ session – line outs. 11 am in normal place. Courses on line outs are quite rare, so even if it’s a couple of seasons off before you need to coach this, please try & make it. It is being run by Neil Sweeney, England Amateurs’ hooker.

From noon – 1pm same day looking for volunteers to help tidy lock-ups.

Other dates :

30 May – Main Club AGM – venue tbc

Rock-up & play mixed touch rugby – 16 & overs. 7.00 – 8.15pm every Thursday until 11 July. Open to all, including mates, work colleagues etc. Back of track, above the lido.

Junior AGM – 10 June, 7-9pm, The Roebuck, Pond St, NW3. A lot of things going on in the club & more help is required & new positions to fill. Please do what you can to make this & please encourage parents who have offered to lend a hand to come along.

7 September – it all starts again…but for now… again thank you all – have a great summer.

Simon, Chairman.
