Last Juniors Training 18/19 Season

By John McGuinness

Traditional Open Day, Picnic, Pat on the Back session - Saturday May 11th

“...Mama always said you've got to put the past behind you before you can move on” Forrest Gump

So end of another successful Juniors season at Hampstead Rugby.

The last session is usually a day for everyone to get together, give each other a pat on the back, play some fun games, have a picnic (weather permitting) and enjoys the successes and failures from the season gone by.

There are stories, tears, sweat, orders, emails, courses, photos, meetings, smiles, videos, rain, sleet and snow (with the odd bit of sunshine) that goes into a season. Every team has their own journey, and these can be seen on the club website in the various score lines, player stats, match reports, photos, videos and individual team news articles.

It is definitely worth both parents and kids having a read of your teams achievements for the season. It is also good to to take the time to have a quick scan of some of the other teams' achievements. This is an ever growing club that started in 2010 with about 8 kids, and we now have over 300 training most Saturdays, filling up Parliament Hill. You are all part of a large extended rugby family.

Have a great summer, enjoy the break, and get yourselves ready for new rules, skills and better things to come for the 19/20 season.

First session of the New Season - Saturday September 7th 2019, same time (10:30am - 12:30 pm), same place (Parliament Hill Fields)
