Saturday 16th June saw the club host its first Inner Warrior session of the year. Piggy backing on the Heath’s ‘This Girl Can’ initiative, invites went out to schools and were posted on communal social media sites.

The RFU provided coaches for the day and, as ever, our Ladies turned up to support this event and got stuck in. It was really great to see the bones of a new team come together & really have fun and be buzzing at the end of the morning.

Saturday's run around concluded the Heath’s week of activities aimed at encouraging more female participation in sport, and the club were doubly involved. On the proceeding Wednesday afternoon we hosted a schools only rugby taster session, with over 40 girls getting to grips with the game.

Hopefully many of these girls will have caught the rugby bug & bolster our junior ranks come September.
