Hampstead RFC’s Girls rugby section was first launched in 2013 with an u15s team, that progressed together to u18s & proved very successful with seven of the members gaining Middlesex County honours, two of whom went onto Regional trials.
2016 saw us, through the RFU’s All School program, relaunch this section, and within six months had both an u13s & u15s team. This group of girls are led by a coaching team that sums up the diversity of the club – a former Men’s 1st team player; a university student who plays for the Ladies teams as well as coaching within schools; one of our former county u18 girls who has gained her coaching badges; and a parent of one of the girls.
This is one section we really wish to grow & not only welcome girls to learn this great game, but encourage parents to get involved. Training is Saturday mornings, 10.30-12.30 at Parliament Hill Fields and we cater for u13s, u15s & u17s girl’s teams, and it is our ambition to introduce an u11s team.
