All parents need to register on the RFU’s Game Management System

How do I do this?

If your child played for Hampstead last season, please follow the steps in Part 1.
If you are new to the Club in 2019/20 please go to Part 2 below.

Part 1 – for parents with a child already at the Club

What you need to do in 3 simple steps:

  1. Go to this GMS site and fill in the necessary details. This will only take a few minutes.
  2. When you receive an email from the RFU with your log in details, let your Team Manager know that you have registered, and advise them of your child’s name.
  3. If you wish, log into GMS and change your username and password.

You may find that it says that you are already registered – for example if you have been involved in the Club as a team manager or coach. If this is the case, you don’t need to do anything further.

Same steps in more detail:

  • The RFU is the governing body of rugby in England. The RFU set the rules and regulations that we all have to abide by. For Age Grade rugby all players are required to be registered with the RFU to participate in club rugby.
  • Player registration (and other club related data) is managed on an RFU database called the Game Management System (GMS). From the 2019/20 season onwards parents are responsible for managing theirs and their children’s information on GMS. Parents are required to confirm that all information is correct and up to date at the start of each season. This is an RFU regulation.
  • We put a lot of effort a couple of years ago into putting all our players onto GMS. However, we did not create corresponding parent records.
  • It is therefore necessary for one parent from each family to create a GMS registration, for all age groups Under 8 upwards. This is really straightforward, and will only take a few minutes of your time.
  • To do this, go to this link on GMS and fill in the necessary details. (The club name and address is filled in for you, so you don’t have to do that bit.)
  • You should then receive an email from the RFU that provides you with your password and account name. (Once you have these you can log in and change them, in the usual way.) Please keep these somewhere safe as you will need them each year.
  • In future, the address to login to GMS is: https://gms.rfu.com/GMS/Account/Login
  • Once you have an account, please notify your Team Manager, together with your child (or children’s) names. We will then link the accounts.
