During signup there is an option for parents to indicate that they may be willing to help out in the club in some way.

As of the date of publishing this article we have 142 parents (+122 players, which we can assume is their parent willing to help) who have indicated on Pitchero that they wouldn't mind helping out in the club in some way. There are lot's of things that people can help with, with a range of commitment. Many hands make light work.

So how do you find out if someone has expressed an interest in helping. Well one obvious way is to ask while at training.

Another way is to use the information in Pitchero to target people who have already said they might be willing to help when they signed up for the club. Obviously some of these people are already volunteering, and some may have changed their minds since signing up. But it's a good place to start.

Using the Pitchero Membership Database to find possible helpers

  1. Go to the club website - click on {LOGIN} in the top right corner and enter your email and password, click the {red login button}
  2. After you've logged in, in the top right hand corner next to the Pitchero Logo should be your picture (If you've not uploaded it yet, please do so). Click on your {picture} (or blank circle if you haven't uploaded a picture)
  3. In the resulting menu select {Admin Dashboard}
  4. Then click {Hampstead RFC} and you will be sent to the Admin Dashboard
  5. Select {Membership} then {membership database}
  6. You will see a list of everyone from the team(s) that you are team admin for
  7. Click on {Filters} button in the top right
  8. Click on {Select Filter Type} dropdown
  9. Select {Junior Help Agreement}
  10. Next to the {Contains} dropdown, type the word 'Yes', do not type the quotes, just the word.
  11. Click the green {Filter} button in the bottom right
  12. The results grid will now only show people who have indicated they would help out in the club
  13. If you want to isolate parents, you can select the drop down {All Roles} in the top left of the screen, and ensure only the {Parents} role is selected.
  14. However, it is likely that parents may have indicated that they are willing to help via their child's record, so it would be useful to contact the player's parents where the help option has been selected.

It would be great if each Junior TM could go through the above steps, contact the relevant parents in their group, and ask if they are still willing to help. The Volunteer page gives some ideas.

For people who have changed their mind, switch off the Junior Help option in their record, and make a note that they were contacted about helping out and what the outcome was in the {Coach/TM notes} field.

If they would like to help, then arrange to introduce them to Simon at training on a Saturday and we can get the ball rolling on them volunteering.
