Match Preview

So here we are, our first game last year, and due to the postponement last week our first game this year.

Last year Bishop's were a good well drilled team and the game was pretty close with only 10 points in it. We did lose Aron early on to a broken arm, so it made things more challenging.

This year, we are a little short of numbers in the squad overall, but well done to everyone who is making the effort to show up. Not sure if we'll start with 15 and see how it goes, or if we go with 13 with a couple of subs. I think fitness may be an issue, so am leaning toward a start with 13. If we go with a 13 start, then the flankers selected will act as subs. We can discuss on the day.

We had a good training session today, with a good basis for a game approach. Let's support each other to play well and enjoy ourselves. Bishop's are a great bunch and very hospitable.

We need to get some line out practice during warmup, so please ensure you're there on-time for a 10am start, preferably already in your gear. We can then get some work done on a couple of things during warm up. Fionn from the u17s is coming up to help the forwards prepare.

It would be nice to get the win this season to start off well and show some consistency. Have to work as a team!!
