All pitch & pitch-side volunteers (regular Junior Coaches and Junior Team Managers) need to complete a DBS

Everyone engaged in a Regulated Activity must undertake a DBS check through their club, in accordance with RFU Regulation 21.
- The RFU

From the start of the 2019/2020 season all regular pitch and pitch-side volunteers for the Junior club will need to complete a DBS via HRFC. You are in this group if you are listed on the club's contact page as a Junior Coach or a Junior Team Manager.

This is slightly more stringent than RFU policy, and is being done this way as it just makes it easier for us as a club to administer by making it a blanket process for these volunteers.

Most people did this last season and it lasts for 3 years. So around the end of August or start of September a communication will be sent out to any Team Managers and Junior Coaches who do not have an RFU DBS for HRFC.

Please note, that a refusal to undertake a DBS for the club will mean that that person will not be able to help out as a Coach or Team Manager until a DBS is completed. This is and always has been strict RFU policy.

There is a FAQ which should answer any questions for anyone who needs to go through the DBS process.

If you have any further queries that are not answered on the FAQ then contact John

Miriam has kindly stepped up to do DBS checks this season, so you can contact her to arrange for your ID to be checked.
