Parental input has been the back-bone to our growth. You won't just be told to get on with it - there are lots of people on hand to help. Wearing red underpants outside your trousers is optional!

A Team Manager is a link between the coaches & the off-field stuff a team needs done to function. Don't be daunted, its not as busy as it looks & as well as the chairman, vice chairman and membership secretary (Juniors' senior members), other TMs are always happy to offer advice. Basically the job is to persuade, pester & dragoon other parents to commit to stuff & get them hands on.

Below are some tips and guidance for what a Junior Team Manager does throughout the year.

General

Make new joiners feel welcome
Familiarise all with Club’s Code of Conduct.
Share weekly (& any other) club news with your group [you will need to logged in, and make sure you select the right team under section]
Any incident please report to CWO. If unsure if warrants reporting speak to a senior member first.

Manage your teams' website & homepage
Join the TM Whatsapp group
Attend the general Team Manager meetings (3 a season)
Assist the coaches with off-field tasks
If not sure of anything don’t be afraid to ask

Keeping track of players and parents & payment of subs

Ensure parents sign themselves and their children up to Pitchero and GMS
Ensure that Pitchero contains all the relevant information about players and parents,
Ensure all parents have paid subs for themselves and players (if any financial
Ensure all players are registered with the RFU and their RFU number is entered on Pitchero

Fixtures including festivals [mostly managed using Pitchero]

Ensure parents know about fixtures (i.e. via Pitchero Club app, Club calendar or website for your team-site)
Ensure all necessary arrangements are made for festivals (e.g. registering teams)
Ensure player availability (or via webiste) is set in good time (you can prompt them from your phone), particularly when teams need to be selected (e.g. 2 weeks prior to game)
Get result of match(es) (you can do this live during a match, or after the match) onto Pitchero & GMS & send a few lines & a pic from matches to go onto club website’s match reports, or enter the match report yourself (add photos & videos).

Encouraging other parents to get involved

Encourage parents to get involved with the club
Try & share your workload with keen parents
Let senior members know if any parent is willing to help out.
Get parents to help out in café when it’s your age group’s turn to lend a hand
Get parents to use the café

Courses

Do the concussion course annually & encourage parents to do the same
Try & do the Play it Safe course & any First Aid course the club lays on

Additional Can Do items

Take plenty videos of fixtures and upload to Pitchero - really helps kids and coaches
Monitor Training availability
Prompt players to attend training (or via website)
Take attendance at training sessions (also can be done via manager app)
